For the most part pretty much the same as every other brand that is putting the same components into the computer.
The one I have can run at full utilisation for an extended period of time so it has good enough cooling (and I'd expect current Toshiba laptops to be similar to mine in that regard and mine can handle both cores maxed out at full speed for hours on end (and the nVidia graphics chip runs OpenGL screensavers well)).

It depends on the model, but the one you're talking about sounds like a good laptop.

Good had mine 1 yr its a satellite model good luck Toshiba are a good brand and well known
