As a Canadian it just further reinforces my beliefs in the stupid American right to bear arms. I can count on one hand all the gun massacres that we have had in Canada in the past century. America is averaging 2 per year. I feel sorry for the families as it is the x-mas season and what a terrible time to lose a loved one under such tragic circumstances.
Your damn president is so concerned about Iraq, Iran, Pakistan when there is warfare on his home ground. You should stand up and demand changes to your gun laws.

The only affect it had on me is that I saw the story online and then the news at 10 and 11 and then the rebroadcast at 1. I agree that it is a tragedy and my heart goes out to those affected, but I'm from MA and didn't have any direct from it. It is scary that theres people like that out there, though.

I stay in Omaha, and artwork able that has "NO handguns allowed" signs and symptoms everywhere,as does the mall. those signs and symptoms are the ridiculous innovations-blowing of the companies in contact to attempt to "look after" their shoppers from people who don't care approximately regulations besides. I do agree that if the mall did no longer attempt to alter hid weapons, in keeping with probability some much less human beings could have died. Have a large night, besides. 2d modification does no longer recommend that we are allowed to positioned on sleeveless shirts, by using the way.

I am just so thankful right now that no one from my family was there. Horrible that he had problems for years and no one stepped forward to help him the way he needed it, and now 8 other people are dead because of it. I feel for their families- losing someone like this is always hard, but is made even more difficult by the holiday season.

And to the person that said their government wouldn't allow them to defend themselves? Nebraska is a concealed carry state- all you need is a permit.

Its heartbreaking whenever something like this happens. It makes me feel, I don't know, helpless. Because I fear it could happen to me or me loved ones, and because I feel terrible for the people involved. Also, just a bit guilty, for being relieved, that it didn't happen to me. T_T

I am numb to these type of killings in a society where they believe "guns don't kill, people do"; and the right to bear arms is enshrined in the constitution.

The American people don't want change and in the name of freedom, they have a powerful "gun lobby" working to preserve the gun culture. No. I am not affected. At all. You choose to live with guns. Now bear the consequence of that choice. Keep on praying - it is all you've got!!!
