last week i went into the doctors because i have been having stomache pains for a while now i dont have a lot of heart burn or anything but she thinks its an ulcer ..she set me up for an ultrasound and stuff ..but i want to know do you think it could be an ulcer what else could it be ??

You could also have acid reflux. I would keep a food journal & see when your heart burn & stomach pains show up.
Does it happen during the day or @ night? I would recommend sleeping with your head raised & see if, that makes any difference.

There are a number of possibilities for what could be causing the pain with ulcer being one possibility. I would recommend asking for a consultation to a gastroenterologist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders that involve the digestive system including the stomach) to have them evaluate the situation further as well if you haven't already to see what they think is going on.

it could be anything else ..related to periods....ameabiosis.....simple gripes......food allergy or anything else too not necessarily the ulcer but since your doctor has suggested and ultrasound scan and also is aware of the exact symptom she has treated you for why not go for the scan and overule the possibility of ulcer otherwise also you are too young to have one
