Just built a computer with all parts cept for RAM. Turned it on but there was a long beep. Is it cuz of no RAM? Thanks

you're trying to boot a pc with no ram? of course it won't. hence, the long beep.

Endless beeps mean RAM error because there was none. Even if you have no HDD, FDD and CD drive but motherboard is complete with cpu, cooler, RAM and graphics card, bare set up should beep once, display POST and be able to open BIOS menu.

RAM (also known as random access memory) is needed for a computer to run properly. Without it, a computer will not function. RAM is what gives your computer the ability to run programs.

Yes, you need to put at least 1 stick of ram in your computer!
