Torture Porn teehe..
Well "Grudge" is the scariest film ive ever seen.. The make up and faces are the scariest i think someone will ever achieve.
An American Haunting is great.. smartly planned out with a twist at the end.. also kinda scary..
16 Ghosts is mildly scary.. Its got a good plot but isnt THAT scary.

I loved Halloween...but it can be considered a slasher film to some. Try a zombie movie like Dawn of the Dead or one of those movies.

I saw "Curse of the Mummy's Tomb" on tv not long ago, for the second time. It's a favorite, and I'd call its script very good.
