It's my rose plant, what would cause them to go yellow like this? (please see the picture) I haven't seen this on any of my other roses. The soil is fairly alkaline here, it's limestone, it gets enough water.

It's not chlorosis because the yellowing occurs on the veins, not between them.

I think your problem might be Rose Mosaic virus. Vein clearing can be a symptom of virus. Scroll down the first link below, the symptoms of RMV are variable, but it does cause a vein clearing in one of the images.
I have seen herbicides cause symptoms similar to your picture, but I doubt that you are using exotic herbicides in your garden.
There is nothing you can do about it in that plant, but be careful to sanitize your clippers after pruing this plant. Viruses can be transmitted by contaminated clippers.

In my experience, yellow veins on green leaves mean fertilizer deficency. It is usually Iron. Don't expect it to go away in 3 weeks after feeding. And one should really only feed citrus from Mar-Oct because you don't want to push out new growth when frost might happen. As stated by another answerer, too much water is also a common mistake with Citrus. But that usually shows up as yellow leaves. Good luck :-)

It's probably a combination of your soil and a mineral deficiency. The high pH doesn't allow minerals like iron and manganese to be available to the plant. See the link below under Iron.

Here is a site that explains the different mineral deficiencies and what to do for them, I would have just copied it for you but it is too long. Very good information.

This is called yellow blight..spray them with a fungicide..then do not water as much..Too much water will cause this and poor drainage as well...I used to have this problem with my veggies and herbs years ago..but got "hip" to it..
