I'm trying to conceive baby #3, and was having trouble due to not having periods. My doctor put me on Provera so I could start a cycle. 7 days after my last pill, my period started. Yay! I was just wondering if anyone new of any success stories from women who took Provera to regulate their cycles so they could conceive and actually did. Anyone??? Please share!

I do believe what the person above has posted is correct

Provera only brings down a cycle, it wouldn't help in aid of releasing a mature egg to cause ovulation, maybe if you take provera this cycle and don't get and af then try next cycle and ask your dr about clomid

When I went to my current doctor he told me that the provera I was previously on was NOT ever going to help with fertility! The way I understand it is that provera is solely used to jump start your period, not your ovulation. It basically helps regulate the hormones that clean out your uterus every month.. not the hormones that release the egg that allows you to get pregnant. My old doctor had me totally convinced that it was going to help me get pregnant.. and boy did I waste a lot of time taking it!!!!
