These people that are against gay marriage and put gay people down are such losers. People do not choose to be gay though in some cases some people do but those people are strange. It has nothing to do with any1 that two same sex couples marry. I really find all of these christian people annoying aswell like www.familyfirst.org.au/ and www.acl.org.au/ (Australian Christian Lobby) they are very anti gay why dont all of these people get a life instead of worrying about gay people.Whats everyone think?

It is something that will always be going on. People NEED someone to hate, if they don't hate gay people they will just end up hating another helpless group of individuals, so lets be proud in the fact that we are saving some unlucky souls from the ridicule and harassment that people direct twards us.

Those are stupid people :). The people who are ignorant and don't take time to listen. Unless they're doing the bashing to ANY group, they don't wanna listen. They're the people who are ignorant to their Christianity (if they are Christian). It says NO WHERE in The Bible that homosexuality is wrong. It might say that in a highly translated version to fit those needs...but you know what? THAT'S not what The Bible started out saying. They're also the people who are probably insecure with themselves. Instead of confronting a "problem" they just try getting rid of it or cursing it. Overall, these people should just be shot in the knee caps because society does NOT need them around

You know that in Iran today, a 21 yr old man was hanged to death for "allegedly" having a sexual encounter at the age of 13 with another boy? He has been in prison all these years and the trial was to be reviewed, but it was over-ruled in the night and they hanged the young man at 5:00am on Wednesday, 12/05/07. Neither his family nor his lawyer were informed BEFORE he was hanged.
Is this what America can come to? Is this the hate and vile cruelty that these bigots and religious fanatics want? Personally, I'm ashamed to be a member of the human race at times. ESPECIALLY when the above actions take place.

i agree with the idea that a lot of them are closet cases, deep closet cases. it's funny because there was an actual scientific study of college men and their reactions to a homoerotic porn video. there was a physical measurement taken along with questions asked after the video. While all of the men reported no arousal, the men who had the most homophobic and really anti-gay remarks ahead of time were the ones who showed the most physical reaction.
whenever i read those answers on here i just want to go over to the regular dating section or the religion section and just blast at them like they blast at us.

I honestly think some of them are serious "closet cases." I also think that they see we are happy we who we are and of course, (being the holier than thou people that they are), they just can't accept that. I never understood the very religious, they claim to be God's people, well last time i checked God was all for forgiveness and tolerance, (these people have neither of these qualities) Then we always here the argument that the bible is against homosexuals. Where is the word homosexuals even mentioned in the bible????

The people in question generally fall into two categories. The uninformed followers and the zealot christians. The followers are not really to blame because they are weaker willed and need a strong focal point to drive or give their lives direction. They then attach themselves to the most charismatic figure within their environment. The zealot christians are misinformed, nay ignorant of the lifestyle in question. What you don't understand must be wrong therefore immoral.

I think a lot of these "straight" people who are obsessed with homosexuality and spend a lot of time putting gay people down are really self-loathing, paranoid closet cases. Most truly straight people, unless they're religious fanatics, don't really care so much about it.

People are often fascinated with what they hate and often are expressing themselves on the LBGT section much the KKK would burn crosses on black peoples lawn. Sometimes they too, are deeply closeted, self hating homosexuals and are subconsiensly reaching out to those like themselves. While some, ESP. the religous ones are trying to reach out to homosexuals because they view them as "sinners" and need "conversion" and thus in their eyes, "salvation". When I see them I either just ignore them or read what they are saying because it helps me to understand them.
