I love the oddest and weirdest house shoes that I can find. What are yours? Here is a list of the ones that I have:

Slip on's are:
medium blue fizzy
red metallic with fake fur across the top
bright orange with a witch on the toes
light purple catipillar with dark purple wings

Then the house "shoes" (these have the back to them) are:
light gray rabbits
brown monkeys
St.Bernard puppy
Dr.Seuss, hat is 5 inches tall
dark brown beaver

I am still looking for more. I did have some that were black bears, but wore them so much that I wore them out.

So what kind do you have, if any?

I forgot about one pair that I had. They looked like high top tennis shoes. I wore them until they wore out and had to trash them. They were black, the bottoms even looked like they had a sole on them as well.

To make sure you all understand what I am talking about here, it is shoes that you wear in your house only.

In the early 1960s I lived with two other sailors in an off-base apartment in San Diego. Someone had given me a pair of white sneakers. Both were left foot sneakers. So, I cut the top of the toe portion off and wore them around the apartment and even into town.

Not so much the shoes or slippers, but I have a pair of socks.
From the ankle to the knee they are bright green and they are toe socks so each individual toes is a different color. Red, yellow, blue purple, orange. Warm but colorful.

The strangest ones i ever owned were rabbit slippers with 5" ears. My husband has German Shepard slippers.

i have a pair of very high heels with very pointed toes entirely covered in silver glitter. They are 20 years old and look like it, but I can't toss them. If you wear a size 10 I'll mail them to you! LOL

I bought a pair a few years ago and wore them a couple of months before I noticed one was black and the other blue.

I still have a pair of black and white saddle oxfords, most folks don't wear them anymore, but I like them.

I have a pair of blue satin shoes that buckle across the top.

My house shoes now are slip ons that are red with green frogs and yellow stars on them.

Definitely those 1970's platforms. And they are all gone.

I battle to find shoes, because I am so fussy. I like Italian style, but it's hard when you have Champagne tastes and beer money! Right now it is hot, so I am not wearing shoes.

Easy, when I was small my mother made house shoes from washcloths. They looked hideous and were uncomfortable because the seam was under the foot. Like "Sock Monkeys"
I guess they were the latest fad.
I haven't thought of those in years.:) Juju

No house shoes for me. Instead I wear socks. And in the winter when my feet get especially cold...double pairs of socks!
