Tell me something about the civil war in china?

The Civil war in China was between, if you ask me, two of the most corrupted Chinese men in Chinese history. Mao Zhe Dong for the Communists and Chiang Kai Shek for the Nationalists. The Nationalists were first in power and the communists would slowly rise to power. The Japanese then attacked and then their was a halt in their fighting.
Chiang Kai Shek lost and went to Taiwan along with a lot of Chinese treasures. (some argue this is bad, but it would've been destroyed in all those revolutions Mao created).

The peasants and basically lower class of China were being mistreated by the Nationalists so it would be easy to pick the Communist side.

Mao Zhe Dong holds the title for killing the most people in the history of man, yes even more than Hitler and Stalin. Chiang Kai Shek probably killed numerous amounts of people.

Taiwan is now proclaiming it's independence and China is proclaiming that Taiwan is their's.

The communists won, the Nationalists kept Taiwan, and now China has announced it is taking back Taiwan. The leaders of both sides have been dead for many years, Mao Tse Tung was the Communist leader, Chain Kai Shek the Nationalist leader. After Mao died, his wife and three other top leaders known as The Gang Of Four were arrested, putting an end to a period of turmoil and ignorance called The Cultural Revolution, but that started long after the civil war ended.

There was also something called the Taiping Rebellion a hundred years before.
While record keeping is somewhat spotty, it is thought that it was the bloodiest war in history INCLUDING WW2, at a time when people killed each other with muscle powered weapons ( swords, bows, spears).
