When I was a kid in grade school, I wrote to all the movie stars I could think of and asked for autographs. I got some too, but I think some of them were rubber stamped. I wish I still had them but that autograph book was a victim of a fire in my parent's house.
As a young married, my husband played country music and I met several country music stars, and got their autographs "for my kids". I still have them, Loretta Lynn, Roy Drusky, several others. I have a guitar pick that Willie Nelson gave me. He didn't autograph it tho, lol!

Yao Ming who plays center for our Houston Rockets. Not an autograph, but I wrote a letter to President Dwight D. Eisenhower and he answered, along with a picture of him in 1952 when I was 10 years old.

In August of 2002 I took a trip to New York City. I went to the corner of Church and Vesey Sts. in lower Manhattan to view the site of the former World Trade Center. While there I bought a book which contained photos of that tragic day when America was attacked. In 2004, Rudy Guilliani was campaigning for the Republicans and made a trip here to Southern Nevada. After hearing him speak I asked him to sign that book of photos and he did.

closest thing that I have to a famous persons autograph :
has anybody ever watched "emergency vets" on animal planet and seen Dr Kevin Fitzgerald -- I have his autograph - as a matter of fact, I have it 3 times and also had my picture taken with him once. he is a really nice person - down to earth all around funny guy - he is really TALL too !!! he does stand up comedy - he has come to three separate functions that were put on by the basset rescue group that I work with.
anybody from the Chicago area should remember Harry Volkmann - I have his too - he came and talked to our school about weather (what else?)

Oh, I like Vincent Price. The only person I ever got was a local policeman that did the news traffic reports on the radio when we lived in the city.

I have one from Mel Blanc that he signed Bugs Bunny. This was from when he visited St. Josephs Hospital in Orange, CA for the children who had had open heart surgery. I have a letter from Bing Crosby which was sent to my grandmother in the 40's. He just signed it Bing. I have signed photos from Charles Laughton, Paulette Goddard and June Haver that I sent for as a child. I don't know if they really signed them but I still like them.
