Is the US' presence in Iraq illegal? They trespassed the country and captured its own leader (Hussein.)
Please don't make fun of me. I'm studying law and according to my textbook, they have broken the "Internatinal Responsibility" aspect of customary law. I'm also not american.
Thanks.

And if it was illegal (i'm sure it was), why is no action being taken. there was not even proof that there were WMDs in iraq.

Unethical, but probably not illegal. International Law, and the sole purpose of the UN is to regulate international affairs, and stop unilateral invasion. We now see how weak the UN really is.
Not that i agree giving them alot of power either because that would be equivalent to a one world government.
The grounds on which the US went to war cannot be justified as Iraq wasnt involved in 9/11.
There was no link between osama and hussein, that was a lie.
the united states supported saddam during the iran/iraq war, even though they knew he was dangerous.
Osama was a smokescreen for a plan to invade iraq and instill a regime change, a plan that had been on the table for a long time.
It is a foreign occupation, and was not granted mandate by the United Nations, so it is a unilateral action by one country, backed by a few allies for political consolation so that america doesnt feel isolated.
Let me remind you that the United Nations was designed specifically to stop one nation directly attacking another......

No, it wasn't illegal.
The War Powers Act in the US governs how the President can go to war.
It has been challenged as unconstitutional, but that doesn't matter, because what it says is that he has to get Congresses authorization, and he did.
There's also plenty of proof that Iraq "did" have WMDs 'before' the war - they even used them against the Kurds and Shiites. The question is whether they "still" had them immediately prior to hostilities.
Saddam was claiming to have destroyed them but at the same time he was deliberately making it look as if he hadn't, so as to keep his enemies like Iran and Saudi Arabia guessing.
It's not necessary for a country to be 'right' in order to go to war, only that they fairly 'believe' they were right.
"Please take into the consideration the UN."
The UN is not a legislative body. UN resolutions do NOT have the force of law in any country. US membership in the UN (and the membership of all other countries too) is clearly under the terms that national law is NOT superseded by UN policies or rules.

You answered your own question. It is also against the Constitution. It was never declared. Plus, going after Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11, so that's TWO things that were illegal. We are trying to police the world and start a New World Order. Here, watch this:
Ron Paul is running for President of the United States of America and he has Meetup Groups in 29 Countries.

The United States is a sovereign nation.
It is easy to call a war illegal when you do not agree with its goal, or you hate the nation which went to war, but that does not make it so.
The bar is rather high. Look at the Nuremburg War Crimes Trials.

We did no longer attack Iraq. We invaded that u . s . to do numerous issues that had to be carried out alongside with the project with Saddam. We did no longer torture anybody we don't go around taking photos and bombing civilians i'm not sure in case you have heard approximately that long island Marine that only gave his existence to end a suicide bomber from killing a team of Marines and 24 civilians. would not sound like those human beings would die to save human beings they supposedly kill freely. you will desire to no longer be blaming anybody for this conflict besides. that's a precedent set and accompanied by ability of each President to proceed to be impartial in any conflict till we are threatened or attacked. Please evaluate that the only guy or woman who would desire to be prosecuted is you considering you already know no longer something approximately this conflict, you have carried out no longer something to easily learn or comprehend what this conflict is somewhat approximately, and you nevertheless criticize this conflict and the adult males & women who fought in it or nevertheless are. and don't supply me this bullshit which you help the troops yet no longer the conflict. You help the two or none, i do no longer care in case you have any acquaintances interior the provider yet you do no longer help the reality that they are troops you only help them as acquaintances. one element approximately this u . s . thats so super is which you criticize the adult males & women (maximum persons seem to direct each thing in the direction of the adult males because of the fact they are biased and sexist to think of girls would not do something you're saying adult males would) who guard everyones magnificent to proceed no longer comprehend something yet nevertheless declare its a bad element.

Between Bush & Congress, the war in Iraq was not illegal in the US. However, as far as I'm concerned Bush should be charged with war crimes for lying about Iraq's WMD's to Congress, the American people & the rest of the world. I hold him personally responsible for the deaths of Iraqi's and Americans. I am an American.

i guess it would be like what the blacks faced in the 50's in our country, like a big bully sheriff runnin things and everyone at the court-house, the judges , the public defender and all the citizens are against ya !!!
you will never get a fair trial and they will just write the laws up as they go along to protect themselves!!!
but us lazy a** liberals went down there and helped em out and we helped them change history!!
so maybe some lazy a** liberals will show up and get things back in order!!!
