The lower 48 states in the US fall into four time zones: Eastern (-5hr UT), Central (-6hr UT), Mountain (-7hr UT), and Pacific (-8hr UT). UT= Universal Time, which is the time in London, UK without daylight savings. Most of Alaska is in the Alaskan time zone (-9hr UT), and Hawaii is in the Hawaiian time zone (-10hr UT). Auckland, NZ is +12 hr UT, which is 17 hours ahead of Eastern time.

At 12 P.M. (noon) Tuesday in Auckland, NZ it is:
7 P.M. Monday in the Eastern time zone
6 P.M. Monday in the Central time zone
5 P.M. Monday in the Mountain time zone
4 P.M. Monday in the Pacific time zone

Most of the U.S. observes daylight savings time (summer time) between the end of March and beginning of November. Clocks are advanced by 1 hour during this time. The terms "standard" and "daylight" are used to distinguish whether or not daylight savings time is in effect. So EST means "Eastern Standard Time" and EDT means "Eastern Daylight Time."

Most television programs in the Eastern and Central time zones are broadcast at the same time, which is why you'll often see times announced as "8 Eastern / 7 Central" or something similar. In the other time zones, broadcasts are usually delayed.

I hope that helps.

East To Central Time

In the United States, the 48 contiguous states fall into four different time zones:

Pacific
Mountain
Central
Eastern

In addition to the above, Alaska and Hawaii fall in different time zones because they are farther west.

Arizona is part of the Mountain Time Zone but its mostly a different color because it doesn't go on daylight savings time (except for Navajo Nation which does).

As for 8pm Eastern / 7pm Central, depending on where you saw it, it probably refers to when something can be seen on television local time. The central time zone sees most evening shows an hour earlier than they do on the east coast and in the rest of the country, because people tend to keep somewhat earlier hours in the central time zone.

Time is the US is based on Eastern Standard Time which is the eastern part of the US. New York City is on EST and it is 5 hours behind London which means that it is approx 5:21am GMT in London. Central time in the US would be in the city of Chicago, Illinois, Mountain Time is in Denver Colorado and Pacific time is for California. I am just giving approx locations, don't know exactly where the time changes. Central is one hour behind New York, Mountain is 2 hours behind New York and Pacific is 3 hours behind New York. Hope that helps.

those aspects lay around the Sahara. formerly using the camel, those aspects have been risk-free from an infantry military like that of Rome. The Romans observed the wasteland as a shielding barrier no longer an street of conquest. August did deliver armies south from the Atlas Mountains, up the Nile, or perhaps to Yemen, yet to no end.
