....do you think that would help reduce the number of angry young adults who decide to act out their anger and mental illness by killing a bunch of people before they kill themselves?

In other words, would an "ounce of prevention be worth a pound of cure" in these cases?

People die waiting for transplants here too. Actually, they die from heart attacks all the time because they have not sought out preventive care because they are poor.

No; never giving them publicity would work better. The classic Columbiner is a narcissistic nonentity; psychotherapy makes them feel better about doing whatever they please.

Ah. Out of another episode of carnage the only human body part which survives is the "finger of blame". I want to know which adult gave or bought the rifle that a mentally disturbed young man used to kill eight other people. That person needs to go to prison for being an accessory to murder. Quit casting about for a solution based on treating the mental malady. By law, this young man should not have been able to have access to such a weapon in the first place.

I think that America has everything going for it, but it has the health system of a third world country.

You need universal health care. That should be a right. It would cost a lot to set up, but the benefits would be enormous.

In Australia we have a great health care system. Sure, we have waiting lists and sometimes people die waiting for a transplant, but it's pretty rare. If you show up at hospital and need treatment, you get it, regardless of insurance.

I live in the US.

Mental heath is another thing. But would it stop some one like this nut. No he want to be on the news to be known and have his name and photo on the news and the papers.

He got his wish for fame.

Universal Health Care is not going to grant easy access to any medical professionals.

universal healthcare, wouldn't give a crap about anyone's mental health, they would just dispense drug's!! and if you had mental illness, you would be a drain on the system!!!
