i have a black vest with a white thin stripes pattern. the tag on the vest says 'dry clean.' so, how do i clean the vest? i don't know much about dry cleaning clothes. and oh yea, the vest is 100% wool.

Wool should not be wet. Take it to the dry cleaners. Wool SHRINKS in water.

if the tag says "dry clean only " then you should only dry clean it....as some of the materials used in the vest dont do well with water, so dont get it wet...or it could be because of the trim used in the vest
I f you see letters such as.... "P" it is a particular type of clean

Use Woolite in cold water at a gentle cycle.

* Turn garment inside out.
* Should be kept away from heat and direct sunlight when drying to prevent shrinkage.
* When drying - lay garment flat on a board to prevent stretching.

I HATE it when I don't pay attention and wash something that needs to be dry cleaned!
There is a product that you can buy at any store - called Dryel - I use it for my occasional dry cleaning. (BUT this is not often)

wash it by hand in the sink and lay it down flat to dry

YOU TAKE IT TO THE DRY CLEANERS AND DROP IT OFF. THEY WILL PROB CHARGE YOU ABOUT $2 AND THEY CLEAN IT FOR YOU
