Obama was one who stood up against the war in Iraq from the very beginning. Though at the time he still served as a state senator in Illinois.

At this point Obama calls for the withdrawl of troops to being immediatly. At a pace of one to two brigades a month with the goal of having all combat troops out of Iraq within a year.

He wishes to proceed with diplomatic resolutions to resolve the situation in Iraq along with the support of several other countries and the UN.

The following link provides a general over view of Obama's policy and several video's of speeches Obama has given on Iraq.

what's Obama's perspectives on Iraq. initially that's a military invasion and profession. 2nd Bush took the incorrect turn and now's battling the liberty warring parties of Iraq. we do not have any agency being there. he will pull out most of the troops and supply them something they choose then circulate after al Qaeda in Pakistan if the recent gov't won't do the activity they have been paid to do over the final 5 years. Take out all the Al Qaeda practise camps and the recent terrorist this is been taught in Pakistan. we detect Bin encumbered which Bush and the Rep's forgot approximately.

I nominate JL for best answer!

That is in fact correct, Senator Obama is opposed to the war in Iraq, but not for an immediate withdrawal. In a prior debate he stated that he cannot commit to withdrawing all troops out of Iraq by 2013 and he intends on leaving residual troops in the country.

I am Quoting Obama and listing sources below
He is not anti war.
But he sure "sounds good" when you listen to him speak.

[At the Democratic Debate]
“Q: Will you pledge that by January 2013, the end of your first term, there will be no US troops in Iraq?
A: I think it’s hard to project four years from now, and I think it would be irresponsible. We don’t know what contingency will be out there.
I believe that we should have all our troops out by 2013, but I don’t want to make promises, not knowing what the situation’s going to be three or four years out.”
-----------------------------

Obama told reporters, “On Iraq, on paper, there’s not as much difference, I think, between the Bush administration and a Kerry administration as there would have been a year ago.”
He added, “There’s not that much difference between my position and George Bush’s position at this stage. The difference, in my mind, is who’s in a position to execute.”
---------------------------

as reported by the Chicago Tribune:

"U.S. Senate candidate Barack Obama suggested Friday that the United States one day might have to launch surgical missile strikes into Iran and Pakistan to keep extremists from getting control of nuclear bombs."

Obama does not like the Iraq war and he is even related to Osama according to his rivals.

Well to start he was opposed to it from the beginning.

And now he wants a fair plan to remove troops out of iraq slowly and intelligently. He wants to make sure a compotent government is in charge as well.

He plans on withdrawing our troops 1-2 brigades each month so that we can slowly push the responsibility onto to Iraqi government. All combat troops would be out within 16 months.
