I married my first husband at age 18...it lasted for seven years...and I am very much over him. However, my first boyfriend, whom I've known since the age of 15 is still in my life...he was never out of my thoughts for a full day.

Yes you can, but it's not easy. It's all about growing up and past the romantic notions we're all raised with about our first love being "the" one and "special." Sometimes it just happens that you're attracted to someone who isn't good for you and you'll have to move on - that's not exactly tragic. Chalk it up to experience, go out there and find your next someone special until you find the one that does it for you.

I think up to a point that you don't obsess about it anymore and move on with your life. But it never really goes away.

Yikes, I still catch myself wishing I was still with mine... I really don't know, because everyone seems to compare that person with everyone who follows.
