With all of the exploring that human beings are doing, I would wonder what would happen if we found such a scenario. There are surely many planets that are "suitable." It's just a matter of finding one that offers the "exchange" that humans can tolerate.

I really do not know. It is impossible at the present moment.
Personally I hope that man learns to respect the planet he is on before he moves to another with his distructible habits.

No...even if there were "habitable planets," they'd be too far away. People would die on the trip there. Besides, I think that we'll have caused this planet to self-destruct first.

We have managed to screw up this planet royally. Perhaps the human race should figure out how to reguate itself, in terms of population and resources, so that we don' t bring our troubles to other areas in the universe.

Yes. And, yes I believe there are many habitable planets out there in the universe, and yes I believe we will have to inhabit them someday. Our world as many sci-fi flicks from the past have shone, will self destruct. I don't mean to alarm you but, be ready 12-12-12.

Your question shows gaps in your thinking. The distances are too vast. Even if we could increase our speed to near light and survive that, the amounts of fuel and time for acceleration and deceleration would make it impossible.

There are no habitable planets nor any that can be terraformed.

The only option is sealed buildings, probably underground or dug into mountains.
