I know the Tigers made a lot of noise already by reeling in a couple of Big Fish (pun intended) but looking at the rotations I dont see how Detroit can even fathom standing up to Boston in a 7 game series, and this assuming the Soxes don't land Santana. For the record I'm a Yankee fan, but Boston is just too good to put the preseason ring on anyone else's finger.

If they get Santana it's hard to argue against them. But if they don't no guarantees. It wasn't all that easy last year and the Red Sox have a lot of veterans who are a year older- and with the Tigers making noise- it adds another team to the mix. Don't forget that the Angels and Indians can still make moves and i think the post-season experience was helpful for the Indians. If the Red Sox don't land Santana they better hope he ends up in the National League.

1904 international series The 1904 international series is a championship series that did no longer take place in American important League Baseball. The Boston individuals gained the yank League pennant in 1904 and manhattan Giants gained the national. attributable to business enterprise opposition between the two leagues, extraordinarily in manhattan, and to non-public animosity between Giants supervisor John McGraw and American League President Ban Johnson, the Giants declined to fulfill the champions of the "junior" or "minor" league.

They may not have any competition in their division, but the Tigers, Indians and Angels will go a long way in deciding who will represent the AL in the WS. Uneasy is the head that wears the crown and everyone in both leagues are going to be head hunting the maroon hoses!

No, and no Yankees' fan would even think "Boston is just too good to put the preseason ring on anyone else's finger".

BTW, what is a preseason ring.

GREAT PUN!!!

I say there is a 25% chance.

Like you said Tiger's are even more loaded now (quite possibly the early favorites coming out of the AL.)

Yankees always in the mix as well.

Should be interesting... I can't wait 'till April.

No.... The Detroit Tigers have the edge and the energy with their new talent. Cabrera is amazing, did you see his numbers last year?

The Tigers are very serious about competing witht the Red Sox.

Don't forget about the Yankees. They are always tough!
