Well that would Saddam Hussein the biggest idiot ever if he had WMD's and refused to use them even when he was about to lose power. Or do you honestly believe he refrained from using WMD's for altruistic reasons? I'm sure he was thinking of the children on this one.

Or maybe this was all a devious plan to make Bush look stupid. He may have lost his country and had to hide in a spider hole before being captured, but at least he made Bush look like a dumb *** by not using weapons he had at his disposal.

Edit: I'm sure the possibility crossed his mind. I don't think he was above paranoia, and took after Stalin in considering every contingency and killed people if it helped him hold on to power. If he had any illusions about the effectiveness of his military in fighting the US, they should have dissipated from the results of the first Gulf War. Certainly I think his use of chemical weapons on the Kurds which we gave him show that he was quite capable and willing to use chemical weapons, and if he had them then then would have been the time to use any weapons he had at his disposal.

Maybe you believe that he was planning a counterinsurgency from Syria. But if that was the case, why was he captured in Iraq, and again, why didn't he use the weapons shortly after Iraq was occupied?

How about this? they hid the WMD really well, because America talked about it for three months before actually invading... didn't even need to ship them off, just bury them somewhere until you find a buyer, or retake control of the country.

Then one would need to blame the U.N and the rest of the democratic led congress that held up the invasion, all the while sattelite images clearly show trucks leaving iraq and crossing into syria.

Hilarious the way the right tell us we have to support the troops but then offer this massive insult to our military that someone could move all this across a border that we were watching like hawks (no pun intended) without anyone noticing. Did they stick them in the trunk or hide them under the front seat?

I didn't say we were on it - I said we were watching it.

As for being up for a crime if he had used WMDs - how would that have been worse than dangling from an Iraqi rope.
You guys claimed he had them and would use them. Well he didn't have them and didn't use them. So now the new version is he had them but didn't want to use them so he buried them???? Even Dubya has given up on this one - I guess he just doesn't want to sound as desperate as you do right now.

Why didn't Saddam also get on that truck to Syria?
Instead of climbing in a spider hole.
Doesn't make sense.
Fuzzy logic.

why wouldn't he have used them?

it was clear we were going to attack... and clear that he would be up for crimes against humanity if he got caught...

also... why wouldn't Bush investigate this lead, since it would clear his name?

What if Reptilian Overlords are controlling our President?

What if some overpaid crackpot named Weiner called himself "Doctor Savage" and he controlled your brain?
