we will find a planet suitable to human life, I would say in our lifetimes, we are finding extrasolar planets at such a fast rate and the planets we can find are becoming smaller and more earth like every year, it will be so far away though that even if we immediately sent a probe it would take at least a century to get there to make sure it was uninhabited and could support us and another century or more for the first humans to get there if we left ASAP

The idea of moving humanity elsewhere has been toyed with by many people, but few have ever bothered to estimate the expense and amount of energy and material required for such a project.
We need to stop thinking in those terms. One day, there might be a mission to establish a space colony, but that would be for a relatively small number of people. A couple dozen to a few hundred, maybe. Humanity as a species might be able to escape whatever doom befalls this planet, but everybody else is stuck here.
And I wouldn't be too sure about the abundance of "suitable" planets. None of the planets in this solar system are suitable for life. We would have to build space habitats completely isolated from the outside world, even on Mars.

Habitable for us sure... When, I don't know. But there is a guy who wants to raise 120 billion dollars for interstellar travel on here. He wants some ideas, so if you want to at least try, I suggest you help him come up with ideas to raise that kind of money.
I believe, that life exist in much more diverse situations than we humans believe possible. Just because we can't live in an Ammonia atmosphere or in 300 degree temperature extremes doesn't mean that something else can not. Then again if we had the right technology, we could surround ourselves with a magnetic field and create an environment which is more suitable for our physiology virtually anywhere. Then again, if we had that we could also go anywhere we wanted to go in the Universe, just by creating a worm hole.

Yes. It is inevitable. But all of humanity will not go there. After all not every european went to America. The vast bulk of humanity will remain on earth while some very brave and fearless people go to this alien world and try to live there. If they survive they might prosper on their own just like the americans.
The earth might end some time in the future. When it does it will be a very sad thing for humanity but at that time earth will be just one out of hundreds of worlds populated by humans.
-edit-
Who is that guy that wants to invest $ 120 billion on interstellar travel? I would sure like to know because I know of a way...

We had better. If we remain on earth, even barring catastrophe like a killer asteroid, a supernova, a bath of cosmic gamma rays, the death of the sun will happen in about five billion years.
Assuming we don't do something silly like engage in a massive nuclear war, we will save our species by colonizing other planets around other stars.

that's only no longer needed. And despite if that's needed, technologies on that particular time of ought to flow to a diverse planet could desire to be advance sufficient. So we people shouldn't communicate approximately shifting to a diverse planet by means of fact the opportunities of that to ensue have extra hazards; we could desire to continually communicate approximately our planet, we could desire to continually look after Earth by means of fact the opportunities of fulfillment is so lots extra. yet lots of human beings do no longer understand that.

It´s not that easy, but not impossible. Our closest choice is Mars, but first we have to develop better life-support systems, faster ways of traveling in space and new ways to grow fruits and vegetables.
