Obviously, I'm talking about breastfeeding.
For example, if, as a newborn it took 10 minutes per feeding, will it take... like maybe 15 minutes per feeding at 2 months old?

I have found that with my children breastfeeding, the older they are, the more efficient they are at nursing. My son used to nurse for 20 minutes on each side as a newborn and could finish in about 10 minutes when he was 6 months old. He was exclusively breastfed and gained weight appropriately.

No, babies get more efficient at feeding the older they get. This usually means that they take the same amount of time to feed, but as the baby gets to about 4 months, they might start feeding in less time.

Agreed, they get better at it. My daughter would nurse for 30-40 minutes at a time when newborn. By the time she was a year old, it was more like 5 minutes unless she was going to sleep or comfort nursing.

Maybe, maybe not.

Some babies become more efficient suckers, some don't. Some go longer between feeds, some feed more often. Some nurse for less time but far more often as they age.

I found that it didn't take as long the older they are. As newborns they are learning to eat, and sometimes falling asleep so you have to nudge them. As they get older they know what they are doing and can do it quicker.

I agree with the others, it will not take longer because they will be better at it they will go longer in between to!
