Wouldn't it be a great series?
I have two concerns about the Celtics and their playoff chances.
1-Lack of depth
2-Lack of playoff experience
The Celts will undoutbedly go to the playoffs this year, the question will be what part they play. Their 'Big 3' is a phenomenal combination but besides the Big 3 the don't have much. They don't have anyone else who might win them a playoff game or two whereas Detroit have guys that can come off of the bench and make an impact.
One must also remember that as a series progresses that teams begin to work each other up, if the Celts have only 3 realy option (give it to KG, give to the Truth or give it to Ray Ray) then after a few games against Detroit they will become predictable and The Pistons great defence might find themselves being able to stop the Big 3 to an extent.
Between Pierce, KG and Allen they have hardly played any playoff ball in recent times whereas Detroit have had an impact in the playoffs for the last 5 or so years and know how to win the big games.
It must also be remembered that Boston is only 1 injury away from haveing just a big 2 which would make things considerably easier for their opposition.
I say Detroit win 4-3

Detroit will when a regular season game against them because
1. Even if all 3 of the big 3 celtics step up, there is such a talent drop off after them that the pistons are solid enough where billups and dice (both will be guarding non big 3 players) will be abussing the mismatch.
2. Sheed always plays KG hard. Check the stats sheet over the last few years. KG normally plays below his average against Sheed do to sheeds length taking away his turn around jumper from him.
3. Bench comparison. Detroits bench is playing good right now, and Boston has no one off there bench that can handle what Mad max has been bringing energywise off the pistons bench.
4. Doc Rivers is cursed against Detroit. Check out his record against them since he came to Boston. 0-4 last year (remember Rip had the last second buzzer beater in there first matchup)
5. Minutes played. for Boston to have a shot at beating Detroit all of the big 3 will have to play 42+ minutes a piece. Where detroit can rest there starters for longer stretchs. (Also this is why they can't beat them in a 7 game series) Boston is playing great right now, but Doc rivers learned nothing from detroits 62 win season. Play you 30+ year olds to many minutes and they will burn out in the playoffs. Based on seading Detroit and Boston would probably end up the one and two seeds (Orlando won't keep up where they are) and by the time these 2 teams meet in the Eastern finals, the over worked big 3 are going to be burnt out).
Last but not least. Playoff wise My bet is Boston will play hard all year for home court but that means they draw the 4 seed second round. I have no doubt that this will be either Cleveland or Miami and neither one is a favorable matchup for Boston which further burns them down for Detroit.
On a side note, I'm happy that Doc R. finally got some decent talent, I always thought he was an underrated coach

If the Pistons had Ben Wallace or a comprable defensive center, then the Celtics would have to have big nights from their big three, but as it stands now any two of the big three having a good night should be more than enough to get the job done... plus House and Posey hit many key shots off the bench... I just cannot see the Pistons winning more than two games.
Don't get me wrong, back in 2003-2004 I was the only person I know who said the Pistons would beat the Lakers, and they exemplify teamwork when Rasheed Wallace is not picking up technical after technical, but they are outmatched against the Celtics. The Pistons are also an older team too keep in mind, and they simply not as good.
This would be better if it was the Mavs, Suns or Spurs and only the latter comes to play in the postseason.

The Pistons will win. The Celtics have not beaten a great team yet. Their best win was either Toronto or Denver. These guys haven't accomlished anything yet. The Pistons still have 4 of 5 from their championship team and this year they have a nice bench. They've also made it to the Eastern Conference finals this year. I expect them to go all the way this year. The Celtics can barely make it out of their starting 5.

in the 2d around of the Western the Utah Jazz will probable beat the Hornets. The Hornets have not got lots adventure in the playoffs. in the East seek for the Detroit Pistons to conquer the Boston Celtics in the convention finals. only verify out what the Pistons bench has completed the previous few video games.

I'm a Celtics fan so um gonna have to go with them. The Pistons have experience and alot of solid players. But the Celtics are already the best defensive team in the league thanks to Garnett and the Pistons dont have anyone as good as any of the big 3. The Pistons have been the class of the east for the last few years but the Celts and Magic have passed them. In the NBA stars usually win. The Pistons dont have any truly great players. I'm more afraid of Orlando and that monster they have down low.

In my opinion it depends on the night that Ray Allen will have. If he shoots 50% and has 25 points, then the Celtics win, but if he plays like he has in the recent games (3-14 against 76ers) then Detroit pulls a close one out.
