hm i wasn't sure since they had a seperate section for it! How do i measure my inseam do i measure a pair of pants or my leg?

most websites consider32" as "normal" or "regular". petite is usually 28 1/2 - 29 1/2". Tall is considered 34" or longer. The stores I shop at in the regular section have inseams from 30 1/2 to 32 and I beause I am short at 5'4" have to shorten darn near every pair of pants I own to 29 1/2 or 30 depending on my shoes.

also, if you check out the petite section of the site you provided, petites is actually 30 to 30.5". So 32 definately not petite. Petite is a height referene not a size. It is generally somebody who is under 5'4" tall and ha an inseam up to 30".

Hello, I'm 5'11 and my inseam is a little bit longer than 38 inches. Since you're 4 inches shorter than me, your legs should be around 3 to 4 inches shorter too i guess. That would make your inseam about 34 to 35 inches. That might mean you have slightly shorter legs, I'm not sure. I do know that my legs are about average for my height. I've seen super models and can tell that they have legs that are probably 3 to 4 inches longer than mine and they are about my height as well. I wouldn't worry though, my boy friend is 6 feet tall and his inseam is only 32 inches. His jeans look like capris on me. I think it's probably because men have such shorter legs than women I'm sure you're fine. I was always taught that your thigh portion should just be about the lenght of your torso + your head. Maybe you can try that. When I put my legs behind my head, My knee reaches just slightly past my head... Good luck.. don't feel bad. I know the feeling, I use to think i have long legs until I saw super models live in person.. they are amazing....

32" inseam jeans are typically considered a regular. A short inseam will be a 30", although if they did extra-short that would be nice. It is annoying-I'm 5'6 and a short is sometimes too long for me.

Typically 32 or 34 is considered average. Petite is 28-30'' inseam. If you're looking for petite sizes I'd reccommend American Eagle, Old Navy, or Abercrombie.

**To measure your own inseam take a measuring tape and measure the distance from your crotch to the floor. If it's an odd number typically take an inseam that is 1'' longer as jeans tends to shrink.

inseam is the measurment fom the crotch of the pants to the bottom of the leg, 32" inseam is a bit long you might want 28" if you somewhat shorter

I'm 5'9 and just noticed I have purchased a pair that says "short inseam" at 32. I've always thought my legs were a little disproportionately long, so I was surprised. Perhaps it just depends on if you're wanting jeans to wear with heels or flats.

hard to tell with these models huh?(har har) well it's for somewhat short legs maybe the "average" for most women. (if yer still unsure get a measuring tape and measure the hight of yer leg and there's yer answer.)
