It is actually the other way around. Ask your clergyman (Minister or Priest) to explain to you how they do NOT actually know what the exact date of Christ's birth is. The Christian religion decided to use December 25th as it was close to the Pagan Festival on December 21st. They figured that people would be celebrating anyway so they would make use of that fact.

There are many theories on the origin of the popularity of Christmas trees. Please keep in mind, however, that the tree is a powerful symbol of nature that has been acknowledged by Pagans throughout human history.

yes and no, before the industrial revolution people would gather in the winter to pass the weather, the houses where money or resources were abundant would place candles on the window to announce that they were receiving pilgrims and travelers or neighbors, this was considered of good luck and was often done to improve the next year production, during the industrial revolution and later during the great depression companies struggled to survive an came with a mixture of marketing and the old traditions and is this way that the Xmas tree was killed (not born because you have to cut it) the exact date is still a matter of controversy or who were the first to set the tree is also discussed some historians place the birth of the tradition in NY (where else) but at the end no one can really prove their findings

Christmas originally celebration of Christ's birth
pagans changed birth date and month to seperate and get people further away from Christ.
The tree introduced as another way to keep people from focusing on the true meaning of christmas, put lights and ornaments on tree, introduce Santa Claus a jovial, white bearded, red suited character delivering presents down a chimney, why would kids want to know Christ's birth when it is santa claus that they worship once a year.

the REAL meaning of christmas is to get pagans to celebrate a "christian" holiday... the same as easter... the real idea behind the holiday that takes place on december 25th is what is known as yule, a pagan holiday which historically took place between dec 20 and january something depending on the lunar calendar... kinda like easter, ever notice that jesus rose from the dead on a different day each year? the 12 days of christmas is based on a yule idea...

basically the meaning of Christmas is to convert pagans to christianity without their consent as they will be celebrating "christian" holidays
