Silversword Plant (Argyroxiphium sandwicense macrocephalum) - This plant is only found on the island of Maui in Haleakalā National Park at an elevation of 2,100 to 3,000 m on the Haleakalā summit depression. It's the monocarpic plant goes to seed and dies.

A cactus. The cactus takes many years to grow and it doesn't grow very fast in the wild. NOTE---In the wild, it doesn't get as much water as if it was in someones front yard. Of course they water it often so it grows bigger, faster.
