why wait, - just get it out of the way.
-Father of twins (now) father of 6 total.
I had a close (girl) friend of mine, - who majored in psychology say that the optimum birth frequency was 5 years. She had one child, - and never conceived again, - even though they 'tried'.

Depends on the person.
All my kids are 2-3 years apart Except for this one. I got pregnant with this baby when my youngest was 10 months old and she will be around 18-19 months when this baby is born.
If the person wants children, there is nothing wrong with having them close together or far apart, that is a personal decision.

In my opinion at least, 1 full year to get pregnant again. I personally am going to go for 2-3 years btwn. But dont get pregnant right away. Your body needs to recuperate. I know a girl that had 2 babies in 1 year. One was born Feb 4 the other December 22nd. Gross!

I was born 4 years after my brother and 5 before my sister, so it all depends on how you feel after the first born. Nevertheless, I still say waiting at least 2 years.

Well I personally are choosing to wait like three years. Who can afford more then one child in child care? I know I can't!
Also, two children in diapers at once?? NO thanks! Changing for one is bad enough with the act of doing it and foremost, the COST of diapers. Have you priced them lately? A small case of pampers...$30 . Whitecloud...84 diapers $16. Then wipes, ointment, clothes and more clothes....oh my! Did I mention CHILD CARE? lol
If you can financially do it, and you think you can emotionally/physically can handle it...then all the power to you!

Personally, I don't want to wait long.
My mother in law, had a baby 3 years ago. So my sister in law is.. 3. Weird. I want to start having kids soon.. and my kid is going to be very close in age to its aunt..
plus, my hubby and his sister ( the 3 year old) are 23 years apart (she had him when she was 18)
But, anyway, personally, I want to have my kids all close together in age.. no more than 3 years apart.
My brother is 5 years younger than me and my sister is 7 years younger than me. They have a lot more in common because of their closeness in age.. they are closer. I kinda feel left out. :/

my youngest children are only 10 months apart..so I would def say wait at least 1.5-2 years to try getting preg..but it all depends on you and how close or far apart you want your children to be..like if you want to make sure one is potty trained before another comes, and other things in your life that will change with another baby...its all a personal choice.

I would say it really depends on the person, there age and the father's age, how many children they want to have all together, money, bedrooms in house etc. It depends on a lot of factors.

I had my children 22 months apart. It was very hard, juggling a 2 year old and a newborn. I would not recommend having children closer in age than that- I can't even imagine how hard it would be.
