HAD to -- for I was a Long Term Single -- then survived a Short Disaster of a Marriage (to an abusive, violent sociopath -- and walked away from EVERYTHING I earned/had to that point in time), then became a Long Term Single Parent ... and now ...
as an Empty-Nesting Single Retiree ...
I can say that I am GLAD I DID Take Life SERIOUSLY -- because of that .. I have MY OWN HOME, my Pensions, and yes, can START to ENJOY life a bit now too!

I take my life seriously in as far as I try to make the right choices by myself and others and for my future... But I try not to take it too seriously, and I sacrifice some right choices for some fun, and I can laugh at myself and at others along the way!
You can't take things too seriously, or this life will just crush you.... By the same token, if you take things too frivolously, life will get you down.... Its a fine line, and I try to stay on it as much as possible...

If you don't take life serious enough, then you will surely not suceed in what you wish to accomplish in life. If you take life too seriously, then you could be making yourself miserible.

i sure try not to take it seriously. i have a rare central nervous system disorder and that's serious enough. anything that gets my mind somewhere else is good. laughter IS the best medicine.

certain aspects of my life I do but I don't take myself to seriously (I think that is the key)
