And why wouldn't you want the company you work for to receive tax cuts so they will be strong and provide for you and your family (and others)for years to come?

I work for someone else, and if their willing to share the wealth, I'm all for corporate tax cuts.

What bugs me is when the CEOs of corporations make a hundred million dollars per year, or even more. And in some cases, if they do a lousy job, they get a fifty million dollar "golden parachute."

That money should be spread around a bit more, too.

I do work for a company. But why should a company need "tax cuts" more than individuals? If a company is unable to compete and thrive on its own merits in the marketplace, and instead needs the government to prop it up and help support it through measures such as tax cuts, why is it more deserving than an individual or family that is unable to compete and thrive on its own merits in the marketplace?

To be clear, I don't believe "sink or swim" is a useful, productive, or wise approach for society to take in all cases. But if the measure demanded of individuals is that they should take responsibility for themselves and make the right decisions, and if they fail, it's their own problems -- that measure should be applied to businesses, farms, industries, and corporations as well.

I think it's obvious that such an approach would be self-defeating, from the point of view of a healthy society.

What if you work for the government? I want the government to have all the money, so I can get paid more. Make the companies pay a LOT of taxes, so I can make more money.

I work for the Federal Government. Why don't you care about how badly bush is screwing it up? (gotta love how he's made the government AND the national debt larger!) Isn't he supposed to be a conservative?
