Granted there are some bandwagon fans but people are idiots for grouping us all under that title. I've lived in Mass and Conn my whole life and never liked any other team so I'm not a bandwagon fan. Also, despite yours and others' claims that you've never seen Patriots fans, well I'm sure they were always fans. However it's kind of hard to go online and brag about your team if they suck, which the Patriots did for a long time. Now that it's a new century and we're it's dynasty, we can and have the right to brag. You would too. You don't think this year's quiet Dolphin fans would be screaming for joy if their team became great, just good, next year. Damn straight they would, oh wait they better not. They might be called bandwagon fans.

There are a lot of bandwagon fans for many teams. Not the Pats. Although I'm from the SF Bay Area, Boston has great die-hard & lifelong fans. That is true for their beloved Sox, no matter how bad or good they are, their Blackhawks, Celtics & Patriots.
Boston has the best fans in all of sports. When I go to A's games, they outnumber the A's fans, but only a very, very few are obnoxious. Unlike the Yankee fans. They are as rude & obnoxious as Raider fans.
Best of all, Boston folks hate the New York Yankees. LOL.

We come from many areas of the country, mainly in the northeast. Some fans are even from overseas. We all unite under a team that has defied odds and has become the model organization for the NFL. The team is run by an owner that exemplafies classiness and has the coaches and players to match that. The New England Patriots are one of the greatest sports dynasties of all time. All and any negativity does not take away the records they hold, the games they have played, and let's not forget...three Superbowl rings.

There are fans, and then there are bandwagon fans. The Patriots got a lot of them by being a good team just like the 49ers got in the 80s and the Cowboys in the 90s...
The true Patriots fans come from New England, obviously!

There was no Yahoo! Answers the last time the Pats were having a rebuilding year. That was in 2000.

Well that is stupid. Naturally most fans hide when their team sucks. Of course there are really the most dedicated who will cheerlead all the way to the end of the season, but most will likely just get busy with other important thing like family and job.
