I hear you.
Done that too.
First, you go to the doctor, then he finds you have some ailment, like a blood disease of some kind and you need further tests which are very costly and not very well covered by your insurance.
Seconds, after doing all the tests, costing a lot of time and money, you are lucky to be told you're fine, so you rejoice...instead of thinking you would have been better off not going to the doctor in the first place.
God forbid there's really something wrong about you...do you really wanna know? No, you don't so you keep postponing your next physical and saving money too.

I think going to the doctor is sometimes harmful for me because I already have the predisposition to think something is wrong with me...a lot of the time. I'm hard wired that way.
I guess I'm pretty sensitive to changes in my body - I've learned that about myself. The only time I really go to the doctor are if I'm on my death bed, as someone said previously.
I would go to a OB/GYN but I have no health insurance....I think going to the OB/GYN is important. Otherwise, I'm not into the whole going to see the doctor thing.

Yes I have. I regretted it greatly when I did finally go though. There was a whole list of things that had come up and I was not very healthy at that point. My worst fears had come to pass and now I am having to deal with all of it today, knowing well that it was all from my own self-neglect.

The drug companies have found a way to make everything "wrong" so chances are if you go to the doctor they're going to find something you need pills for.

HOWDY!!! Darth,
There have been a few times that I have had that feeling. I think everyone has had that feeling at on time are or another.
As for me I know most of the time if I need to see the Dr. about something and some times it scares the HECK out of me.
MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
STAY SAFE!!!

Yes. After a few weeks I go eventually just in case there is something wrong.

Yes, I held out getting a lump checked out.
It was next to my uterus and I was afraid that I had what my Grandma died of. But I did go and it was not thankfully!
