Death Penalty

If it were up to me I would crank up Ol' Sparky and let justice be served. Taylor's was a senseless murder committed during a felony. The maximum penalty in the state of Florida is death by lethal injection which is the easy way out for the killer/killers. He/they should fry. There should be no plea-bargaining for the shooter. If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

Of course the NAACP will defend the murderer/murderers and demand that they be rewarded and recognized as model citizens. I'm anxious to hear what the 'Reverends' take is.

The four idiots had no business breaking into his house in the first place. That itself should cost them 10 years. That is violating someone's property and rights.

Then the person who carried the gun should be given another 20 years. The only reason he carried the gun was to shoot if confronted.

The actual act of shooting should cost him his freedom. He should be put in prison for the rest of his life.

The others should be sentenced to at least 25 years without parole for burglarizing and being an associate.

As someone mentioned earlier people make mistakes but there are consequences for mistakes. These four should realize the consequences.

My understanding is that only one pulled the trigger. In the eyes of the law, it's the same penalty when you're in the the commission of a crime.

Can you imagine what these kids will face in prison?

If I were them, I'd pray for death.

Life in prison should do the trick.

Life in Prison.. No Parole or any of that crap..I'd rather have them tied to some posts at fed ex field n have the redskins and their fans do the real damage...(I'm not a skins fan but I'd def. go n take a shot at them).... >:[

I also want to point out that because it occured during a burglary, Florida law stipulates that it is 1st degree murder. So those saying that it is manslaughter ought to check that out. They are entering plea negotiations right now. It really depends on how solid the State's case is and how confident they think the evidence can convict. Otherwise they may save the tax dollars and offer them 5-10 or something laughable.

If it were up to me, I'd fry them.

If I had my say? Let them go through the judicial system, be tried, and serve time appropriate to the crime.

From what it sounds like, it was a botched robbery. Don't get me wrong, this is very, very sad, but no different than any other non-premediated murder.

No sense in killing 3 people when someone else already died. Let the punishment fit the crime, just like any other situation.

You leave very few options, neither of them are realistic for their actual sentences, and I would rather neither of them be given if they were possibilities.

First remember that it is likely that only one will formall be charged with murder as it was a gun murder. The rest will be charged with accessory to murder. I would imagine that their sentences, though, will actually be quite similar.

Everyone makes mistakes and though there are different theories on how punishment should be used, two wrongs, as they say, do not make a right. Hopefully these young men learn from their actions, I mean theyve got to.

That being said, this was an incredible tragedy and I can only hope that Sean is in a better place

I say let Sean's family have their way with them. It makes me sick - why should they get life in prison so the rest of us pay their cushy little pathetic lives. In prison they get fed, clothed, a roof over their head, free healthcare, free education, cable, a gym...things the rest of us bust our butts to have and even more than we ever could have. They deserve no better treatment than what they showed Sean.
