because that is the way their brain are naturally trained. Some time do not have an inquisitive mind , in result they find math boring and hard , in to mold your mind if one feels more creative they sould start by solving game puzzles and little games, little by little your brain start reacting faster your analytical aptitude start to grow then follow with complex cryptograms.
Such exercises are prone to sharpen your reasoning abilities, therefore helpful in solving mathematical problems where logic is key

One or more of various reasons.
- stigma is attached to it.
- it is nothing but logical science. Some are good at it, some
are not.
- it is usually not taught(or learnt) in fun way. So big aversion
is developed from the very beginning
- if due to unavoidable circumstances, a young student
missed a class, that step of logic remains a weak link. It is
like a ladder, when one of the beginning steps is not
strong, each step upwards makes the whole lader more
shaky and wobbly; eventually it gets scary
- slowly it expands in different fields like algebra, geometry,
calculus etc. The logic of one goes into another and so on
and so forth. So, one weak concept affects the whole
structure. This is different than history, languages - where
each subgroup don't affect each other as much.
- initially it seems boring and repetitive, thus not worth taking
interest in.
- the rigidity of the structure does not allow any slip/weakness.

math gives most people a lot of pressure because in every question, there is only ONE correct answer. Moreover, one wrong step will give you a different answer. and like what others have said, you can't memorize it. you have to really understand it. you need a lot of practice to be good in math. people who are good in math are considered geniuses because most people find the subject hard. everyone are good at something. there's a belief that math wizards are poor in english, and vice versa...

Because unlike other classes like history, it is not just memorizing stuff from a book. In math, you are practicing skills, and ontop of that, memorizing different formulas. And as you progress, it gets harder. Especially once you get to Geometry, trig, calculous, it is all memorizing formula after formula and applying it to solve an equation.

Because it IS hard!

Unlike other subjects where you can bluff your way through by giving "opinions" or writing essays, or interpreting poetry in a way that nobody can really challenge (it's your opinion, after all), in math, you either get the right answer or you don't.

I used to do amazing in math initially, hated algebra, took my 6 years to pass beginning algebra, finally passed it in college... got As on the rest of math classes thereafter, I am not a BioEngineering Student... you just have to learn how to study math and science..

its all bullsh*t,football managers just have the knowledge from the games which they have played and from Physical education classes that's it.Some would've been assistant managers to some respected names in the field n that's the way they know it,nothing more than that. the link that u have shared is quiet interesting but its all a mathematical sh*t.

It is the logic they find hard, that which separates us from emotional reason and finding something we can depend on.
