A lot of people are saying family photos. I just hate pictures in general, all year. I don't like how Christmas has become so commercial defeating the point of heart felt gifts. Instead of giving good gifts I usually give joke gifts that will get friends a little mad. Also, I try to make deals with other people to not buy each other gifts. I constantly complain about how early christmas starts... The day after Thanksgiving there were already Christmas Marathons going. When I was smaller I would sneak into my parent's closet and look at all the gifts with my older brother by peeling off a little peice of the wraping paper in a hidden spot. And the nonstop Christmas music in stores drives me crazy. I try to convince people to buy themselves gifts and no one else that way you don't have to spend much money if you don't want to and not feel guilty and if you do get yourself something its ALWAYS something you want.

My favorite Christmas movie is Die Hard and my favorite Christmas song is Less Egg More Nog... Check it out on youtube its by a local artist.

When I was a kid my mom bought a set of block that spell noel and displayed them on top of the fireplace mantel in the family room. Well, I never liked them so every day before school or whenever I could get a chance I would go and change it to say Leon. It would piss her off something awful cause every day she had to go and change it back. Through the years my 3 sisters and dad joined in and began to torment my mother with this and now it's tradition to have it up and say Leon throughout the holiday season. I love my mom but that's what she gets for making us rearrange the whole house every year to fit all the holiday decorations she had.

Nowadays, people always insist (complain?) that Christmas is getting too commercialized, but at the same time, people bring-on their expectations on what EXACTLY is the perfect Christmas gift.

But, perfect for who?

The gift receiver? They're not paying for it, so greed tends to get in the way of being thankful for what they receive.

The gift giver? They are the person paying, and also getting "hints" (aka demands) from people who want the expensive items.

If the gift giver cannot meet the gift receiver's wishes (demands), then they are seen as a "Scrooge" with their money.

Helping other people? Most people think that is for "other people" to handle.

People need to focus their attention once again on the absolute true reason for Christmas; the birth of Jesus, son of God.

Sort of. I don't like people being extra friendly around the holidays...it seems so phony when they don't act like that the rest of the year. And some get crazy like the mall shooter today. The traffic and the insane spending of money and increase of eating high fat foods for no good reason.

I'm not much of a grinch, but I do sometimes detest the holidays season :P I've broken a few bulbs, accidentally (I think pathologically I wanted to do it!xD) and turned away carolers, with the "Ba humbug!"

I enjoy the holiday's, I really do, but I hate, and ***** and moan about the fact that my husband's family never visits us on the holiday but expect that we will always drive the 2 hours to visit them, and God forbid we don't make it to visit by New Years, they pout all year long. The friggin highway runs two ways last I heard doesn't it? (last year I scheduled every weekend I knew they were free with something so it was spring before we made the trip).

Grown realatives that still want everyone to get each other a gift(14 adults). Wish they would cut it down to just the kids. Or maybe charity.

How do you exchange gifts? By definition, you should not expect to get something in return for a gift. This impractical tradition is closer to barter than giving.
