I'll admit it, I bought some wrapping paper after Christmas last year when it was like 75% off but I have a couple of special items to wrap and somehow don't think Wal-Mart's paper is good enough.

I adore Macy's wrapping paper. Years ago I worked there as a seasonal employee, and saw a real difference in the paper they sold.

I'm agreeing with using the reverse side of the wrapping paper or the Sunday comics. The reverse side of the wrapping paper though is only temporary. She'll see the Christmas wrapping on the other side once the gifts are open. Plus, in most cases, the wrapping paper will be a boring white. Your son may even get some strange looks. The Sunday comics idea is good because it adds color to the packaging. Put some of the animal comics on the top of the packages like Garfield. I'm not sure why so many people gave Braless thumbs down. It's not like she said use the dull, boring black and white part of the newspaper. Your son will be known as the kid who wrapped the gifts up in cartoons. With all the popularity surrounding Spiderman, Batman, and the Hulk, why isn't that a good idea? You should only use the Christmas wrap or Sunday comics though if you really cannot afford new wrapping paper. It would be better to just by the new paper though. For those items, it will probably only cost you about $5.
