I'm looking for gyms with regular swimming pools
not just a lap pools in the Los Angeles area
any assistance will be much appreciated

Most gyms are going to cater to those who want to swim laps. You will need to go to a Y or other private club to find a pool with a deep end for diving (if that is what you're looking for).

try going on line and looking up aquatic centers in your area or call the chamber of commerce!
