I got an Xbox 360 recently, and my dad is constantly online, and I am really annoyed. I plan to buy a router, I can buy one as long as it is in the 50-60 dollar area. There are some specific requirements though - Those are listed right here:

-Must be compatible with Windows Vista
-Must be compatible with Xbox Live
-Must have a good stable connection with my DSL modem

On Xbox.com they specifically say, the router should support Xbox Live. I think I have better chances asking this question on their forums... [sigh] Yahoo!Answers failedme again... -__-

Go for a Belkin wireless or normal router. Has lifetime warranty if anything goes wrong.

A router is a router is a router. All of the major brands are basically the same. Go with whichever brand happens to be on sale that week. You will want to consider whether you want a standard router, or one that is also wireless. Even if you do not have a wireless device at this time, it is cheaper to buy one with the wireless ($5-10 extra) then to have to replace the whole thing a year from now when you do need wireless.
