My husband and I are having a baby boy in about 5 days-- if not sooner. We're having some extreme difficulties finding a name for our little one. This is our third child. Our daughter is almost 5 and her name is Kylie Nicole. Our second son is 2 and his name is Daegan (day-ghun) Layne. Now, for our third son we're lost! What do you think of the following? Any other suggestions? Please give all insight regarding my other children's names and the flow of a middle name and the impression you get from each name and the spellings... etc... it is all much appreciated!!!!

Corvan (core-venn)
Kailyx (kay-lix)
Mikael (michael)
Monroe
Corbin Lee
Steele
Sawyer
Caton (cay-tun)
Colton
Corwin
Davin
Sayer

No offence but there are some really nice classic names for boys so why would you choose really weird ones and names that seem to have been made up?
Corvan sounds like a car and people will never pronounce it correctly.
Kailyx sounds like a brand of children's cough medicine or a bad guy from superman.
Mikael could just be Michael to avoid confusion (unless you are Russian)
Monroe as in Marilyn?
Corbin is not too bad, but sounds like a soapie actor
Steele and Sawyer are not and should not be first names!
Caton is also a surname but not good for a first name
Colton not too bad, but again, too weird
What is Davin? David misspelt?
Sayer - As in the singer Leo Sayer? No, too weird.

You don't have to go with unusual stuff to be a little different, give your child a name that they will be thankful for and happy to live with all their lives. Have you considered family names as well? Rather than just finding 2 different names that seem to match, think about relatives or your family tree for a name that is meaningful.

Suggestions:

Aidan
Andrew
Benjamin
Brodie
Brant
Ciaran (Keer-an)
Daniel
Elijah
Henry
Harry
James
Jonathan
Joseph
Joshua
Jude
Keegan
Matthew
Malachy
Mitchell
Nathaniel
Owen
Ronan
Samuel
Thomas
William

*Kylie is not Gaelic, it is an aboriginal word for a boomerang.

Corvan Monroe

I think you and your husband are having difficulty in finding a name because your both trying to hard . Whats' wrong with "normal" names like Peter, Michael, Stephen, they do go well with Kylie and Daegan ( means black haired)

Both Kylie and Daegan are Gaelic but the names you have picked are not except Monroe

Info: Kailyx -- I can't find that name anywhere
Corvan - another made up name
Caton -- Is female it is French for Catherine
Davin is Swedish and means Finnish person
Mikael is swedish
Corbin is latin for Raven
The rest are English or Welsh

Out of your list I would choose
Michael
Sawyer

I really like Sawyer. It's not overused, but it's still known.
Corvan reminds me of a type of mini van
Kailyx sounds like something off of a space movie and I'm sure some kids will work on the licks part for making fun of purposes
Mikael is a neat spelling but throughout your son's life no one will spell it right
Monroe is too much like Marilyn Monroe..somewhat of a sissy name
Corbin is really popular this year after Corbin Bleu from High School Musical
Steele is too masculine and like football
Sawyer, again i really like it. It's not out of the ordinary
Caton will never be pronouned right, and I'm sure someone will want to sorten it to CAT like Cat Stevens
Colton is cute, this is my second choice, but I think it makes a better middle name
Corwin reminds me of that nuts-newer animal guy that acts gay Jeff Corwin
Sayer is just akward not really nameish

Those are just my thoughts though. When your little boy comes out, you'll know exactly what you want to name him!
Congrats!!

Well, I think your daughters name is nice. Your sons name is ok. Corvan to be sounds like a van. Kaliyx is a nice name. Mikael is a nice name. Corbin Lee sounds like Corbin Blue as in blue cheese I believe and the brand. Steele sounds like the football team and clothes. Sawyer sounds like a farmer type. Caton is nice. Corwin is ok. Davin it sounds like Devin. Sayer sounds like a public speaker.

Of the names you listed the only one I really like is Corbin Lee. I think it's a great name and flows really well. Some other cute boy names are:
Elijah Matthew (Eli for short)
Issac Gregory
Isayah Jacob
Oliver Henry
Andrew Steven
Brayden Marcus

Or any other combinations of those names. =)

Good luck!!! ♥

I think Colton Steele is my fav choice out of your options and it sounds cute with your other childrens names. I def. like the name Colton best for the first name. I'm sure there are some other middle names that would work if Colton Steele doesn't work for you. Let's try....
Colton James? Colton Mikael? Colton Elijah? Colton Bailey? Colton Riley? Colton Avery? Hope I helped.

Best of luck!

My personal fave is Sawyer Monroe. It flows well with your other children's names. Why not wait until the baby is born to name him? You might look at him and say "He looks like a..." and have the perfect name! Or maybe name him after your husband or a family member or some variant of. Congrats on the pregnancy! Let us know what you decide!

bu from your list, and considering your other children's names, i think Sawyer sounds good. Kylie, Daegan, and Sawyer.. it flows well.
