I recently had a ultrasound in Oct and they had found a cyst on my left ovary. Recently we went for an update and it dimissed. I am still have pains in my lower abdomen though and they get sometimes increasinly painful randomly to the point where I am clutched over. I know they say about when your ovulating, but could it be other problems. My second ultrasound came back great they said but could their be anything else that could cause this pain. Its almost a sharp knife like pain where a baby would come out (sorry didnt want to be too graphic) Thanks for your help

There are a number of possibilities for what could be causing this pain. One of those possibilities is endometriosis. In the months before I was diagnosed one of the symptoms I had was pain that was like ovulation but very sharp and I felt it mostly on the left side.

I would recommend getting another opinion and preferably from someone that does not share the same office of the doctor you currently use.
