Good luck with that. As for efficiency the twin screw is better and can make more power. The person that answered after me has no idea what they are talking about.Youll need to look at Prochargers superchargers and find a hell of a dynotuner if you just cant live without supercharging it.

There are 3 types of superchargers, the roots (eaton, roush), the twin screw (kenne bell, whipple), and the centrifugal (vortech, procharger). I was not sure if you left out the centrifugal in your question because you dont like them, or because you just forgot to mention them. I spend way too much time at the track and in my experiance it seems like 99% of the c6 corvettes that are supercharged have prochargers. I must admit to you that I am a 2004 cobra owner, thus I am your rival. So I do not know a whole lot about corvettes and there modifications. I think one of the main reasons that the vette owners go with the centrifugal supercharger is because the roots and twin screw superchargers sit directly on top of the engine. With a corvettes hood shape and design, I dont think a roots or twin screw would fit without putting a custom hood on that has a big hump in the middle of it. I seriously dont think I have ever seen a c6 corvette at the track with a roots or twin screw supercharger. I do know that the ones I have seen with the prochargers do very, very well with them. They are extremely fast. Remember, the roots and twin screw superchargers give you great low and mid range power, but not much high end power. Where the centrifugal superchargers are more like turbo chargers, they dont give you as much low and mid range power, but on the high end they fly. Just from the phenominal performance I have seen from the c6 vettes with the prochargers, I would ask the guys at a corvette performance shop about putting on a procharger if it were me. Good luck and good racing, maybe i'll see you at the track some day. Later bro.

there realy is no big diffrence except the screw one is usualy bolted directialy to the intake and the roots is a seperated from the motor im sure you seen them..I would go roots due to the fact you can get a intercooler put inline with it costs alittle more but a lot more power they have a resivore you fill with Ice and water so that forced air is nice and cold and dense = MORE POWER!! have fun
