You can have sex before you ever start your period. Although I personally think you are too young, and I'm sure you hear that a lot, but it's true. People don't think of the consequences of having sex. I lost my virginity at the age of 15, so I wasn't much older than you. It's not like i'm some old person telling you that you're too young. I'm 21 now, I have been pregnant 3 times. I was pregnant twice before the age of 18.

I know your idea of sex is connecting with a guy and it being pleasurable, but have you thought of everything else that is associated with sex? Contracting a Std? Some are curable, some are not. What about pregnancy risks? Being pregnant is a wonderful thing, if everything goes as planned. My first pregnancy, I ended up having a miscarriage. My 2nd pregnancy, I was 8mos pregnant, only 5 weeks away from my due date, and the baby girl I was pregnant with died. I was only 18 then and had to plan a funeral, buy a casket & plot for my baby to be burried. That is not something that I had expected to do, EVER.
If you do end up pregnant and have a healthy pregnancy, there's bills to be paid, formula to buy, baby food, cereal, diapers, wipes, clothes, etc. There's TONS more to that. Plus when the baby is sick, it's never fun. I just had to take my 9 1/2month old son to the hospital last night because was having problems breathing. Now he's having to use a breathing machine because of his asthma problem.

I guess what I'm trying to say is what makes you feel ready for sex? I was one that was actually going to wait until marriage until I had sex, but had found " THE ONE''.. and 4 guys and 6 years later.. I'm now happily married, and am a mother.

Just REALLY think about it before you do it. And what ever option you choose to do, be safe, even if you haven't started your period yet.

You *can* have sex, but I highly suggest waiting. And just because you haven't started your period yet, it DOESN'T mean you can't get pregnant. There was an 11 year old girl in the school district I went to when I got pregnant at 15 and she is now 16 with 3 kids...you think you are ready but until you actually do it, you don't know. I am sure there are physical injuries that could probably occur with you being so young, and depending on the size of the guy. As well as if you were to get pregnant, the physical toll it would take on your body.

Starting Your Period

If you haven't even started your period yet, you are WAY too young to even be thinking of having sex. Why are you trying to grow up so fast? It's not that great! Stay young as long as you can. You've got the rest of your life to be an adult. If you start having sex at 13, where is your emotional mind going to be when you get married? I mean, how many partners will you have had by then? By then, everything special about it be long gone. You are not ready to have sex regardless of what you say. Trust me, when you're my age (I'm 28), you'll understand what I'm saying.

Your period is not a requirement to have sex nor is it permission for you to have sex. At 13 how do you know you are ready for it? You should still be playing with Barbies!! What if you got pregnant? Would you take care of the baby? You can't get a job so how would you support your child? What if you got a STD? Would you be able to deal with getting AIDS at 13? You need to sit your fast self down and do some homework. Get your mind out of the gutter. You have plenty of time to have sex. Don't be a hoe so early in life. That's not a good way to live!

Now I am not going to lecture you about having sex so young because I was 13 when I lost my virginity. Now ladies this doesn't make me a hoe or a slut. But yes it is possible to have sex but just know to wear a condom because you could start your period anytime now and wouldn't you hate telling your mom one week that you started your period and the next telling her your pregnant. Please!!!!! BE CAREFUL! Good Luck sweetie!

Please be careful. There's so many risks.
And I can't imagine it could be good for you, pleasure-wise. Guys need to know what they're doing for it to feel good for YOU, and many of them have absolutely no idea at your age. If it's just for the pleasure that you're deciding this, stick to masturbation. Guys at that age generally only want to get off themselves, and wouldn't know how to get YOU off, even if they wanted to. :/
Be careful, think everything through and be absolutely sure you're 100% certain before you do anything.

No. You can't have sex before you start your period. You have to wait at least 4 years after starting you period to have sex or you can do serious damage to your body.

I've read that if you have sex prior to pueberty it can significantly increase your chances of getting ovarian cancer. Something to think on... You can lose your virginity any time you want. At this very second, if you wanted to, you could. But once you lose your virginity, you can never get it back again. I waited for my husband and he waited for me. Sex was more fulfilling. Sex is wonderful, don't ruin it by having it too young. Wait.
