Yes, reality is always relative because what we perceive as reality is subjected to sensations in the brain. Reality for human beings is relative to our brains receiving sensory input by touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. This poses a serious philosophical problem for epistemology. As long as reality is perceived through subjective means (mind) then it cannot be said to be truly objective. This does not mean that there is no objective reality - it only means that reality for human beings is relative to the 5 senses.

While it is nice, and politically correct, to say that reality (truth) is relative, I don't believe this. We just have to suck it up and realize that there is a very specific reality. Some people are more accurate in their understanding of it than others, and we do experience this reality differently, but the reality itself is not relative. Saying reality is relative is just a cop out so that people can justify what they want to believe and criticize others for not accepting their beliefs.

If reality is always relative then, the view that reality is always relative is itself relative. This would mean that reality is relative to some people but not all people. This is a logical contradiction and therefore cannot be. So no reality is not always relative.

Yes. Reality is always relative. It's the definition of the term.

The first statement is only true if one considers there to be only one valid reality in all of existence. One perspective might fit one person while an different perspective might fit another.

If the idea that reality is relative is one person's perspective, then for that person reality is relative.

For the first person, according to his perspective, it isn't. Which, once again, is another perspective, but perfectly real and true for that person.

Since people can have different perspectives, the contradiction is flawed.

In view to relativity... do not argue with the results, just accept it! Well now, that is reality!

Reality, in my opinion, is objective. It is what it is. But because man's senses and opinions are prone to subjectivity, we seem to have relative views on reality.

But once we exhaust and remove our biases, then i believe we'll see what reality really is.

Sure, I'll state that. Although it was relative to me. Sometimes, you may not find it relative. That's relative.

everything's relative....
if you take reality apart from everything, then reality is irrelevant and becomes a relevant dream... oups, back to one - and again in relevancy...
