It seems to me that you have told him on numerous occasions that you do not want to be friends anymore. I am sorry to say there is not going to be a "nice way" to end this. You need to tell him in the presence of others (your friends) that you don't want to see him anymore and to not call or harass you anymore. Block his number on your phones and don't answer the door if he comes over. He will eventually get the hint. If he doesn't then you will probably have to go the legal route.

I hate to say it, but it may not end nicely. I just ended a friendship with someone and when I tried to explain to her the troubles I had, she took it really bad. No matter how you try to sugarcoat it, no one likes being rejected.
You need to explain to him any problems you have with him and why you think you shouldn't be friends. He might take it horribly, but he deserves to know a real answer.

Just stop talking to him. If he tries to talk to you, say you are busy and have to go. When he asks you questions just give the shortest answer possible. Don't be rude, don't just walk away from him without saying anything if he talks to you first, that would just be mean. He should eventually get the picture or prompt HIM to ask why you are acting the way you are and then you can tell him why you don't want to be friends anymore.

Well when you tried before were you looking like you were joking or sounding like it or maybe even he knows you are serious and don't want to because he feels you are a great friend so just tell him again and don't call him or answer his calls or see him if not, just let him know hey while we were friends it was great while it lasted, but i really don't want to be your friend anymore so can we please end it .

I think the best way might just to be to stop making yourself available. Don't answer the phone (at least not every time) and don't hang out with him. If you have tried and it didn't work, then I think you might need to take more direct measures. If you can't come right out and tell him, then just back off.

Well, if you're a dude, and he's a dude, just talk to him when you're relatively alone, so he doesn't feel embarrassed. Tell him you are serious, and mention specific reasons why you don't want to be his friend anymore. If it doesn't work, then I don't know. Maybe he's clingy. Just stop treating him and talking to him like a friend, and more of an acquaintance. He'll probably get the message.

There's no easy way to end a friendship. Is it a platonic or a love kind of friendship ? Good luck either way !

Tell him you love him. Make sure you have a crazed look when you say it. I guarantee he won't come around anymore. Seriously though, just slowly start to distance yourself. After a while the friendship will just kinda die out. You don't have to say anything.

You can just talk to him but it sounds like he isnt going to get the clue. Why dont you just stop hanging out with him and stop taking his phone calls. When he finally realizes something is wrong tell him you dont want to be his friend anymore.
