I cant quote it exactly, but I can sum it up for you, the wife sells her hair to buy a chain for his pocket watch, and the husband sells his watch to buy his wife combs for her hair, so basically what I would say is that they both sacrifice something thta means a lot to them and end up pretty much with nothing but they still love each other.
