We would not have seasons if the Earth was not tilted.

If we did not have the tilt then we would not have seasons. If we were to be straight up and down and no tilt then every day would be 12 hours long with every night being the same. We would have one long season that would be like Spring and Fall combined. Our planet does have times when there is no tilt and this happens twice a year at the Equinox's. September 23rd and March 21st.

If the earth's axis is not tilted,the most important effect will be that the day time and night time will be equal in all the places over the earth at all times.Secondly there will not be any season(particularly summer and winter) over the earth.
