That's the context in which the performance can be done for the most money. It's also a way for a lot more dancers to get (ahem) exposure. The audience for classical dance is very small and tickets are very expensive. It's a trade-off, life is full of them.

i think its funny when my guy friends do it at weddings and stuff. haha
its only attractive when the guy is hot, can actually dance, and definitely does not have a belly.
