Describe Y/A Country for you.

To me it's like gettin' to listen to a bunch of Ole Farts ( not tryin' to be mean here), tell about the good times, the bad times, and all the things they've done. the Fascinatin' stories they've got are really somethin'.
or
like sittin' on Granpa's or Granma's knee and gettin' told a captivatin' story.

Much of what country music has ALWAYS been about is old times, old ways, peoples lives & loves, experiances, mistakes & stories.
Any of us who've lived long enough to be old farts have earned our battle scars, we've survived whatever life has thrown at us & come through laughin' & waitin' for the next challenge.
This is keeping the lives & stories of those who've provided the backgrown music of our lives, fresh & thriving. Comparing memories, histories & trivia, sure as h*ll beats sittin' in bars or veggin' in front of the tube. Think of the ups & downs of your life & you'll remember what was on the radio, jukebox, or what ya put on the turntable.

lol...I am a middle aged fart...lol I agree, it is fun and a nice way to spend some idle time. I enjoy learning a lot of things and jogging my memory. I have been a Toby keith fan club member for years and I MADE myself go over to make sure everyone knew I was still alive this evening because I feel like I have deserted them lately...lol Plus I have been listening to so many older songs the last few months that Brooks and Dunn, George Strait, Toby, Alan, Travis and Dwight are probably feeling a little neglected lately..lol There are some great stories here and it is fun to get some history and be reminded of things I had forgotten. Thank goodness one of my all time favorites Willie is considered classic

Getting a chance to relive the "REAL" country music with fans that remember the classic country.
So if being an old fart is someone that likes the classic country then count me(and the seat of my pick up truck) in the number.
(The best time for me is driving and listening to my classic country songs)

I just like to see what others know about classic country and also learn some things I don't know. This is all supposed to be fun and at times some folks take it too seriously. I have even done that myself before but I don't anymore because I have many other things to worry about. I do like to see the many people on here and see what they have to say. There are some nice people here and every once in awhile there is one or two that aren't so nice. But I try to take it all in stride and just enjoy it. It ain't worth stressing over but it can be a lot of fun. I am an old f--t and proud of it as should be anyone else who has lived a long life.

I like it here a lot,i like sharing some things that i've experienced and i love playing the trivia games cause it keeps the legends names out there and that's my main mission for being on here..it's sort of funny cause it seems that we really kinda know each other, you know like being in a class room..i've even gotten so used to looking at the same avatars...i really do think that that is the real person..i really do wish that we could get a Classic section though.
OH YEAH--I AM AN OLD FART AND PROUD OF IT.HA-HAAAAAA!

I'm just here to have FUN,
I try to give an answer to a question,
(and If I know you well enough, I play!!!!)

(oh, and I have never, NEVER mentioned My Grandparents)
on edit!!!
I don't know how old YOU are, But if you live long enough,
but when you're in you're teens, 40 is OLD!!
(Ya wanna help him to his car)!!
In the 20's you think 50 is old, (but that's the same age as your parents)
By 30 you're on your own (at least your parents hope so)\
By 40, You figure out that your parents were'nt as dumb as you thought!!!!

(not that I would Know, I'm 29 myself) !!!!
