By normal use I mean playing games on normal settings, work with office and dreamweaver, do some programming and some photo/maybe video editing. Not multi tasking that much.

Core 2 duo 2.0Ghz
2GB 667mhz ram
Geforce 8600m gt 256mb dedicated memory
250GB HDD(5400rpm)
15,4'' Display

I'm mostly concerned about the graphic. These are the specs and I can't upgrade them while purchasing it anymore.
The games I'm planning on running would be mostly 'The Sims 2', 'Counter Strike-Source' and 'Age of empires 3'

Yes, this is a good one. There is plenty of graphics power and memory, a huge HD to store games and video, a quick 2 GB's of RAM, and on top of that is a Core 2 Duo TWO GHz processor.

What you are left with is a roomy and fast laptop that will run those games with EASE!

For The Sims 2 and Age of Empires 3 it more then meets the requirements from what I've read. Counter Strike Source requires 256MB of video memory, but recommends 512MB. (Not sure if that video card can use shared memory or not.) So it may work but I'm not entirely sure what the preformance will be like. (While the "recommended" CPU is a 2.4Ghz, the Core 2 Duo may beat that despite it's lower Ghz rating, assuming the system requirements were written with single core CPU's in mind.)

The Pentium D wasn't released until 2005, and the C2D series originally came out in 2006. Counter Strike Source, as I understand it, dates back to 2004/2005.

Yes, it's the one for you. It has enough power to do much more. Just go ahead. Good luck!
