Just tell me what old school Beatles records you have. If you have them all, then just name the ones you like best (I know that is extremely hard, but try!)!

The records I have are:

- The Beatles 1967-1970 (The Blue Album)
- Beatles '65
- Introducing... The Beatles (it's a fake one, but it still plays the songs!)

Everything and anything you can think of, and then some. I have over 100 Beatles vinyl albums.

The ones I like best?
'Let it Be' in the box with the book on the original UK Apple label PXS 1.
I also own the original US pressing of Let it Be with the gatefold cover Apple AR 34001.
Both are highly collectible LP's.

I've always really enjoyed the sound quality of my 1976 German pressing of the White Album. It was part of the 'Direct Metal Mastering' series (DMM), Apple 1C 192-04 173/74 and pressed on white vinyl. With this process, the groove is cut directly in copper metal. Transient response is greatly improved. Stampers are plated directly from the DMM Copper Master, eliminating two of the three plating steps required for lacquers. In short, DMM yields better detail resolution and a lower noise ratio.

Also all of my original UK pressing of the albums Rubber Soul, Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, etc on the black EMI/Parlophone label sound vastly superior the inferior US or Canadian vinyl used at the time.

Another treasure is the 3 copies of the Beatles Yesterday and Today albums that I own. What makes them unique is that they are what's come to be known as the 'butcher covers' Capitol ST 2553. I was offered $1500.00 for the better of the three which is in Mint minus condition cover/vinyl.

I own practically everything The Beatles ever put to vinyl, but my most treasured is a live bootleg of their concert in Vancouver from 1964. My Father worked for a Toronto radio station back in the 1960's. The Beatles payed that station a visit during their two August 1965 performances in Toronto (both of which I saw). I gave the record to my Dad that day to see if he could get it autographed. He did! I am one of a select few that have an authenticated LP signed by the 'Fab Four', and it's in beautiful condition. I'll never sell it!

Beatle fanatic - Yup it's pretty rare, depending on its condition. I see it with minor ring wear, dog eared corners, slight spine wear, and light surface scuffing on the vinyl quite frequently at record shows. It usually fetches between $50-$75 in that condition which according to the Goldmine Grading system would be a VG+. But I have seen copies in EX to M- condition go for between $150 - $300. Still, not nearly as rare as the box with the book, but rare nonetheless.

I'm not old enough to have any vinyl!
I don't know whether this counts or not, but...

I borrowed all my dad's albums to burn my own compelation. The albums used were :~

With the Beatles
Beatles for Sale
Help
Rubber Soul
The Red Album
Revolver
The Blue Album
Sgt Pepper
Magical Mystery Tour
Yellow Submarine
The White Album
Abbey Road

For at least 3 of these, I used every song. The others, almost all songs.

Edit :~
Just to make clear, these are the UK albums.
Some of the early US albums have different titles.

Even though I am not of their generation, I respect and admire Frank Sinatra & Elvis very much and therefore anyone who sais The Beatles are over rated are idiots pure and simple.Like what you like but at least aknowledge that The Beatles mean so much to so many people therefore anyone who does not own at least one of their albums should get one...I own most and one I would most recommend is With The Beatles...it marks their beginnings and what all the excitement was about.

As far as CDs go, I have them all (excluding some compilations). But when it comes to vinyl records I only have the White Album, Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. My favorite out of them all, though, is the White Album!
