I need a
DDR PC2700
or
DDR PC3200
or
DDR PC4000 speed

Was going to get a 1GB.. anyone point me int he direction of a cheap one.. I don't know the speed of the current one in, but i dont think that affects it much.. so i might just go for a 1GB DDR PC3200

As somebody has already said, go to www.crucial.com they have a program on there that scans your PC and tells you what RAM it has in it and also what RAM the motherboard can take.

I find www.ebuyer.com or www.memoryc.com to be the cheapest for most types of RAM.

Open your case look on your motherboard there should be a name and number search that on the net and find what your motherboard can run with.
